Sinopse
LIVRO EM INGLES. Run Baby Run is a mix of emotionally moving and gripping moments in this young boy's life as a run away that wants to find something better in his life. It makes some believe they're actually in the action and fights right along with the author, Nicky Cruz. Readers will experience all of his hardships, troubles, and accomplishments. The story will make you laugh, cry, and scream. Cruz approaches this book with a serious and tiresome struggle for his life from a young boy to an adult and his terrifying, emotional fight to find the one thing he'd never had before. Filled with gangs, power, and action, the author keeps you on your toes from the first page to the very last. Depressed and alone underneath his back porch as a kid, Nicky thinks about life, convinced that he didn't belong where he was. Feeling lonely and scared since his brothers left to go to New York, he would run away from home every day. Finally his father called up his brother and asked if Nicky could stay with him. On the way there Nicky escaped and started running for his life! ""Stop that crazy kid!" someone shouted. The door of the Pan Am constellation had just swung open and I darted down the steps toward the terminal at New York's Idlewild Airport. It was January 4, 1955, and the cold wind stung my cheeks and ears." Nicky tells us to begin his story of his life. It tells of him running and running and running some more just to get away from all the tragedy in his life. No one will ever look at life the same way ever again as Nicky explains his struggles through life on his own all the while being scared and trapped. Racing against time, Nicky tries to understand why he hurts so much inside but has so much stuff around him and so many friends around him all the time. He wonders how he could be so happy but so sad and alone all at the same time. This book is an amazing whirl wind of emotions and the second you pick it up you will get caught in the storm.
