Sinopse
Published on the occasion of Brasilias fiftieth anniversary, Building Brasilia brings together Marcel Gautherot's elegiac photographs, taken between 1956 and 1960 during the construction of Brazils new capital - a landmark of modernist architecture and urbanism. An architect by training and an enthusiast of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe, Gautherot had privileged access to all stages of the building of Brasilia. His photographs are complemented by essays from Kenneth Frampton and Sergio Burgi.
